10 Questions for the Dalai Lama soundtrack

Previously instructed that His Holiness prefers unique, non-standard questions, Ray developed a series of 10 questions that not only covered Tibetan politics and the Dalai Lama's philosophies, but also a look at the man himself. Peter Kater's score to the film mirrors its poignancy and pervading sense of illumination, featuring just under a dozen compositions for piano, flute, Tibetan bowls and cello. Many of the pieces presented on the album are sparse and simple, giving the music a meditative, zen-like feel. Special guest instrumentalists are plentiful on the album, including, Nawang Khechog, R. Carlos Nakai, Richard Hardy, David Darling and chants from esteemed Tibetan monk Tulku Orgyen.
